The New York Times Magazine: “A.I. Is A Bubble. Maybe That’s Okay.”

Here, I took this NYT Opinion Section magazine article and turned it into a full publication. My idea was to create a serenity of the AI bubble on the front and back cover using the cloud and the bubble itself as the setting for the scene. I used abstract imagery and accents throughout to create a seamless layout with artistic purpose and prose.

Caleb Hawley: Merch, Single / Album Covers

I’ve been working with Caleb Hawley, an independent singer/songwriter from Harlem, NY, to create merchandise, stickers, and album/single covers. Selected here are two single covers, one album cover, and three stickers created for the Caleb Hawley brand. These creations are an ongoing project with the artist.

“Ravelin: A Smarter Defense” (Presentation Design)

This deck imagines Ravelin pitching itself as a fraud-intelligence partner to Upstart. It’s designed to read like a real partnership proposal, the example here being a small, credible tech company aligning with an AI-driven lender. 

My aim with this project was to create a unified presentation system based on the existing visual standards of the brand.

“Studio Holly: Meet Sydney Barret” (Presentation Design)

This is an example of a presentation designed to highlight Sydney Barret, an employee at Studio Holly, a digital marketing agency based in NYC. Sydney is outgoing and abstract, she’s bold, brash, and beautiful.

This was created mostly from Sydney’s photoset, provided with the brief. I created this primarily using InDesign. I painted textures and accents in Procreate, and created abstract layouts from those graphics to populate the presentation system.

“Instabase” (Rebranding)

For this example, I rebranded a AI enterprise data solution, Instabase, to be more fitting to a modern technological brand. I created the custom mark based on the desire of the company to be a singular, interconnected stop for automated document workflows. The mark was designed to be easily recognizable in a color or black and white format, or in a vertical or horizontal setting. 

I also made 30 custom icons for this project, and included a custom illustration set, which you can see in the pages below. This is a brand guidelines document, easily accessible for company employees and delivers a clear system to use.

Pax Americana

I wanted to illustrate a series of phrases that, in my opinion, defines part of the current American cultural discourse. I’ve proposed a series of 4 short phrases, each of which, in their own ironic flavor, result in a poster, designed to be striking and easily digestible.
